Job Description

Front Desk Hotel Agent required for hotels providing facilities for foreign tourists in Abu Dhabi. Must have at least 3-4 years of previous hotel front desk experience to accommodate guests by performing any combination of the duties mentioned below.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • To provide an efficient and friendly check-in and handle guest requests ensuring that all matters are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
  • To be fully aware of hotel room rates, availability, promotions, services, and facilities and provide information to all relevant departments regarding special guest requests.
  • To keep the Front office management informed of any faults or complaints reported.
  • Ensure that all guests and Internal messages are relayed promptly and accurately and arrange for room changes if necessary.
  • To be up to date on specific daily functions and events, and to deal efficiently with guest inquiries.
  •  Liaise with the hotel manager, shift leader, and housekeeping to ensure an efficient supply of rooms and services.
  •  Accept cash, approved credit cards, traveller’s cheques, and foreign currency following hotel guidelines, and ensure that telephones are answered quickly and efficiently.
  • To be able to complete all daily tasks laid out in the Reception Checklists.
  • Answers inquiries over the telephone and in person relating to hotel services and the registrations of guests.
  • Assures a timely handover to the replacing shift and registers all details in the logbook.
  • Carries out any other duties as designated by the hospitality manager.
  • Be fully familiar with all the hotel’s facilities and provide information on events in town and places of interest.

 

Male or Female applicants may apply for this position with a minimum of 2 years of guest service experience in a hotel. The minimum qualification required is a Secondary School Certificate or Degree, knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Applications as well as Front Office Applications
