Indian Chief / Cook in Helsinki, Finland

Responsibility:

·      Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeaner while providing restaurant and hotel guests personalized service.

·      The Cook will also be responsible for washing, cutting, and preparing food for serving or cooking.

·      Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.

·      Create an inventory of food items and report on supplies to be ordered.

·      Control inventory for loss, waste, and spoilage.

·      Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils, keeping the kitchen spotless and compliant with all health codes.

·      Adhere to food safety requirements.

·      Monitor the cleanliness of the back loading dock and trash area.

·      Assist other team members and departments in contributing to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant, and hotel.

·      Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

·      Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.

·      Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

·      Experience

Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a hotel or restaurant with professional Indian cooking experience. Yearly, four weeks off-peak vacation/holiday are given—salary incentives upon work performance. Chef's work gear will be provided.
