Job Description
We are seeking Mine Operations - Labourers to join our teams across mines and quarries across Western Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland. Candidates will be reporting and be under the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Mine Operations Labourer is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of various labour tasks required around the mine/quarry sites.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a light vehicle up to a 1-ton pick to travel to and between different work areas safely and efficiently according to all relevant legislation, company policies, and procedures.
• Training will be provided for all Job tasks as required.
• Operate various hand & power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform Field Level Risk Assessments as required.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping of the vehicle as well as work areas while working/performing various tasks.
• Conducting pre-operational checks of the light vehicles, and other support equipment such as light plants and pumps, training also provided.
• To complete logbooks and daily reports on delays daily.
• Use two-way radio, hand, and horn signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety at all times.
• Be safety conscious, self-motivated, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to read, (in English), understand, and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate, and timely manner
• Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, bearing safety in mind at all times: onsite and off-site.
• Must be willing to perform repetitive tasks and lift to 50lbs repetitively.
Experience, Qualifications And Education:
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a labourer in construction mining or industrial setting
Valid driver's license
Prior experience in an industrial or mining setting is an asset
Heavy Equipment Operator Training or pertinent experience is an asset
Paid travel. Accommodation, Medical Insurance, and meals are provided on job sites. There are plenty of opportunities for overtime with On-site job training.
Work Contract:
1 year with a recurring employment contract, dependent on your performance. English must be spoken, and be a team player with an Education of at least Secondary (high) school graduation.
Consistently demonstrate and promote safety while working and on-site.
The employment process requires pre-employment testing, a background check, drug testing, and a virtual Face – Face interview. Applicants must pass all steps of the application process to qualify for employment.
This job position requires medical health certification and requires you to be vaccinated. Benefits: Medical and dental Insurance, and paid holidays/leave.
These jobs require you to work in very remote, very Hot/Dusty environments and far from the main cities. Sometimes, you'll be in camps with other employees isolated from the world in remote places.
