Job Description

A global leader in iron ore production and one of the largest nickel producers in Manitoba, Ontario, Newfoundland, and Labrador, Labrador is hiring five underground laborers for their quarries/sites. Must have at least one year of experience working in construction or mining sites.

Responsibilities include:

• Help to prepare and pour the raw material inside the cast molding.

• Help finish the casted product, grind, and repair the defects of the final product of casted plastic/polyurethane.

• Prepare the wood and build the shipping crates and boxes as required.

• Help organize the workspace and workstations to run the manufacturing process as required to minimize loss of time & production.

• Load/unload goods or prepare supplier's goods for transportation.

• Helped with essential maintenance of the plant machinery workspace and yard.

• Help to organize the stock and maintain clean work areas.

 

What we are looking for:

•Basic knowledge of the heavy industrial environment / Manufacturing Plant

•Knowledge of how to use a measuring tape in imperial.

•Autonomous, organized, and meticulous persons.

•Understand and respect other members of the team. 

•Always keep health and safety a priority.

•Strong, hardworking person with a willingness to learn.

•Basic knowledge of how to operate forklift training will be provided on-site.

 

Working: 40 hrs./week with overtime. Work on a rotation schedule (one week-day shift and night shift the following week).

Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to safely and professionally achieve the plant's objectives.

 

1-year full-time contract-renewable depending on your ability to work hard within the company. Accommodation meals and safety work wear are provided on all job sites. There are plenty of opportunities for overtime with on-site job training.

 

Consistently demonstrate and promote safety while working and on-site.

 

The employment process requires pre-employment testing, a background check, drug testing, and a virtual Face – Face interview. Applicants must pass all steps of the application process to qualify for employment. 

 

This job position requires medical health certification and requires you to be vaccinated. Benefits: Medical and dental Insurance. Paid holidays/leave.

 

These jobs require you to work in remote, cold environments far from the main cities. Sometimes, you'll be in camps with other employees isolated from the world in remote places.
